We are currently seeking an experienced R&D Reception Services Administrator who will join our operational team within the Research and Development department at Guy’s Hospital.

The R&D Reception Services administrator will provide high quality reception and administrative support to the department by having meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively. Tasks will include receiving visitors to the department, organising, setting up and booking meeting rooms, the effective coordination of research events and research meetings conducted within our NIHR Biomedical Research Centre and NIHR Clinical Research Facility, maintaining databases and accurate records, providing excellent customer service and the effective and timely provision of general administrative support to the department on behalf of R&D Reception Services.

The post holder should have experience managing large events for directors/executives ideally in a health research setting and also have experience in generating income through managing external events when room availability allows.

The R&D Reception Services administrator will play a key role in the efficient day to day activities of the department. The post holder will often be the first point of contact for the department and will be required to communicate in a professional and courteous manner. The post holder will answer general queries, manage our generic research email account and explain information relating to the research department.

The role supports the R&D Reception Services Team Leader to provide a first class customer service and is accountable to the R&D Business Manager.
