Guys and St Thomas' provide Retail Catering for staff and visitors, serving both hot and cold food and a range of beverages. The catering is focused around healthy eating and is open for breakfast and lunch service. A total of five areas are managed, with a dedicated team striving to provide a high standard of service.

Our Catering Assistants provide excellent customer service when preparing, presenting and serving food within the hospital retail environment.

You will hold a Food Hygiene Certificate and be efficient and confident working on your own or as part of a team.

You will have experience of operating a computerised cash register and be able to follow Trust Cash Handling procedures.

Customer focus is priority in this position. You must have a friendly nature and be willing to help and advise staff and patients visiting the retail areas.

The post holder will assist with the actual meal service and associated duties as allocated by the Supervisor around service times.
