Join us and become part of the most engaged workforce of any NHS trust in England, according to the latest national NHS Staff Survey results – for the second year running.

You will be joining a dynamic and forward-looking organisation in the heart of the capital where you can develop your career and broaden your horizons.

We think you will enjoy working for us but you don’t have to take our word for it – 79% of staff who took part in the latest national NHS Staff Survey would recommend Guy’s and St Thomas’ as a place to work.

Evelina London Children’s Hospital Sleep and Respiratory Centre is multidisciplinary and comprises of a dedicated Children’s sleep Respiratory Assessment service which is rapidly growing in an innovative and child centred fashion and an internationally respected centre of excellence for the investigation and treatment of all kinds of sleep disorders in infants and children of all ages and part of the Guys and St Thomas’ Lifespan Sleep Group.

We are part of King’s Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC), a pioneering collaboration between one of the world’s leading research-led universities and three of London’s most successful NHS Foundation Trusts. Our AHSC is one of only five in the UK and consists of King’s College London and Guy’s and St Thomas’, King’s College Hospital and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trusts.

We perform more than 3000 sleep studies per year including oximetry, capnography, actigraphy, cardiorespiratory and full polysomnography with multiple sleep latency testing, in our dedicated facilities or at the patients’ home, as appropriate. We have the ability to combine sleep studies with full EEG.

Supporting the long term ventilation service has been a recent development and we have expanded our facilities next to their purpose built ward to accommodate our increasing demand and improve our patient’s experience.

Snow Leopard is a Long Term Ventilation Unit and we pride ourselves on creating a Home from Home environment. With this expansion we are opening 3 new dedicated beds for comprehensive sleep studies which include NIV and O2 titration.

You will receive a personalised induction programme, including training, development and education from our Clinical Education team for sleep and for Long Term Ventilation.

Closing Date: 24 June 2018 at Midnight

Interviews will be held on Thursday 5th July and Monday 9th July.

Applicant requirements

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
