An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS Foundation Trusts comprising of two of London’s oldest and best known teaching hospitals with a long history, dating back almost 900 years.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a high caliber and credible individual to the role of Resilience Manager. 

You must be a dynamic, innovative and motivated individual, passionate about Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response and who shares the Trust values.

The post holder will be educated to a masters’ level of education and/or relevant professional experience in an emergency planning related environment. Significant experience in a similar role in a complex environment is essential. Candidates should have a proven ability to manage change and service development and possess budgetary control and incident management skills and experience. The post holder will also be capable of working under pressure, prioritising to deadlines and multi-tasking. Good motivation, persuasion and planning skills are essential.

Your skills will have been ideally developed in an NHS environment and you will bring energy and a resilient leadership style to the executive management team. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to guide, direct and support the Trust and colleagues as circumstances dictate.

The post requires a high standard of communication, analysis, clear thinking and organisational skills. In return, the Trust offers excellent opportunities for career development.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
