An exciting opportunity and innovative opportunity has arisen providing an experienced occupational therapist to join London Evelina Community Children Occupational Therapy services This post will be primarily based at Sunshine House Child Development centre in Southwark and Mary Sheridan Centre in Lambeth.

You will working be within a large team of Evelina Community Occupational Therapists that support services to the Evelina community population in Southwark and Lambeth and will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. The multidisciplinary team includes Paediatricians, Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, nutritionists, complex needs nursing team and an office administration service. The Occupational Therapy service provides services to children presenting with developmental difficulties from birth to 19.

We have both permanent and fixed term contracts available. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide services in clinics, home and school. The post holder will be working under the supervision of an experienced clinical specialist and alongside a team of band 7 & band 6 OTs. You will have the opportunity to provide care to children in early years and school settings alongside colleagues in the multidisciplinary/multiagency team. In addition to this you will work with families and carers and provide care ranging from advice and consultation, direct intervention including specialist groups as well as carry a small caseload.

The post holder will be professionally supported through supervision and given the opportunity to further develop and build on their specialist clinical skills and knowledge with the support of Evelina Healthcare Community Children's Occupational Therapy Services.

As well as supervise band 6 Occupational Therapists, the post will provide you with the following opportunities:

• To both lead and participate in service training

• To conduct audits

• To participate in using LEAN principles to support efficiency in care

• To lead on care pathways, service developments and service innovation projects
