The Department of Dermatology is seeking a part-time (6.5 PA) consultant to work in the Photodermatology Unit. The post holder will do clinics in Photobiology, Phototesting, and Phototherapy.

The Dermatology department provides a wide range of multidisciplinary specialist clinics as well as general dermatology services.  Formerly a post graduate teaching hospital it is now fully integrated into the Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Guy’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine (GKT) of Kings College London.  St. John’s Institute of Dermatology contributes to GKT research activities as part of the Division of Genetics and Molecular Medicine, GKT Medical School, Kings College London and provides an annual MSc postgraduate course.  Cutaneous medicine is also one of seven designated BRC themes which form a core component of the Biomed Research Centre at GSTT and KCL.

As an organisation, we are committed to developing our services in ways that best suit the needs of our patients.  This includes asking certain groups of staff to work more flexibly so that we can offer services to patients in the evenings and at weekends.  We regard this flexibility as essential if we are to continue to provide first class patient care in the future.  As a result, any offer of employment to a consultant post will be subject to you agreeing to work a new more flexible pattern of working in the future if required and in accordance with the provisions of the new Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust consultant contract.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
