An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Lambeth and Southwark Action on Malnutrition Programme (LAMP) at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a dietitian with experience of providing nutrition support to patients at risk of malnutrition in the community. This post requires excellent communication skills as you will be working with a wide range of patients, carers and health professionals to provide advice, training and individualised care plans for patients referred to the service. The LAMP team consists of 2 dietetic assistants, 2 band 6 dietitians and a team lead dietitian. The team is at the forefront for providing nutrition support to vulnerable patients in the locality and ensuring that frontline healthcare teams have the skills to identify and treat patients at risk of malnutrition.

This post is for a fixed-term to cover a period of maternity leave.

We are a large Academic Health Sciences Centre with King’s College London and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians and leading researchers in the Trust and at King’s College London.

The sucessful post holder will be joining a department with over 80 dietitians working across Guy's, St Thomas’, Evelina Childrens Hospital and Lambeth and Southwark community services. The department has a strong commitment to staff development.

Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
