Digital Hub Senior Project Manager

You'll be an experienced Digital Project Manager, with a passion for delivering great outcomes and hands on approach. You’ll be used to working in agile methods and very familiar with Digital, IT and Data products and services.

Background

Guy’s and St Thomas’ (GSTT) is one of the largest hospital trusts in the country, with around 15,300 staff; 23,138 Foundation trust members; an annual turnover of almost £1.5 billion; and 2.4 million patient contacts a year. 

The Digital Hub was set up in 2017 as part of the IT & Digital team to develop technology, data and digital solutions in response to business need aligned with strategic GSTT objectives.

As part of the Digital Hub – you’ll be helping to lead the digital transformation of this NHS Trust, making services digital by default, and simpler, clearer and faster to use.

The role  

The Senior Digital Project Manager is a dynamic role: your focus will be on confident delivery, working collaboratively with tech, creative, clinicians, transformation and Business Analysts.

Naturally, you'll be hands-on, delivering projects of your own. The Projects vary in size and function: from web content to data dashboards, patient user interface platforms to clinical systems development.

We also work with a range of Health Innovators to pilot, deploy and integrate a variety of new technology solutions, we are part of the Health Innovation Network and Digital Health London and other innovation networks.

What we're looking for:

You'll be an expert communicator, well-spoken and articulate with 5 years+ of relevant experience, who can bring expertise in delivering high-end IT, digital, data and app projects.

Previous experience in healthcare or big size organisations or agencies, with the ability to come in and hit the ground running.

We're looking for someone who has bags of technical project management experience, who's honest, considered and passionate. You'll be a natural people person with a real drive to get the most out of everyone they work with!

  • Lead on the business case, specification, procurement, design, testing and implementation of digital solutions.
  • Attend sprint planning and work in conjunction with Product dev scrum master for scheduling and delivery of Digital Hub projects.
  • Manage delivery life cycle into successful implementation: Track development, testing and release cycle of Digital Hub projects.
  • Identify and measure projects’ benefits; act as a champion for assigned new solutions, promote project objectives and benefits and communicate progress, timetable and project issues effectively.
  • Matrix management of a diverse group of professionals: Business analysts, Clinical Analysts, Technical Leads, developers, web content team, Clinicians and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Set up, manage and chair clinical, technical and operational project groups, workshops and meetings.
  • Create and present reports, costs trackers and documentation.
  • Ensure project deliverables are consistent with the defined objectives and outcomes.

 You will have

  • 5+ years’ experience of working as a Project Manager/Business Analyst (preferably in a large organisation or digital agency) on digital projects and tech product development.
  • Managed the full project life cycle, from inception to implementation, including user acceptance testing and deployment.
  • Knowledge of the different project management methodologies and tools, especially agile.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an outstanding attention to detail.
  • A passion for UX, digital content and working with new technology.
  • Eagerness to grow within the company and put forward ideas for new initiatives.
