Band 6 CRN South London Research Nurse - Dermatology

We are looking for a Research Nurse to work as part of the CRN South London Flexible Delivery Workforce to deliver on a number of CRN Dermatology Portfolio studies across South London geographic area.

You will have experience and knowledge of working in an NHS /University research environment, with experience of both recruiting patients to research studies in a clinical setting, and analysis and development of recruitment figures and recruitment strategies.

You will be required to interact with a multidisciplinary team and liaise with collaborating departments across South London participating Trusts.  Whilst the post holder will be based at Guy’s Hospital, there will be a fair degree of travel to partner Trusts as part of the role, with potential to be based at other Trusts for periods of time. Activities will include being involved in analysis of recruitment figures and time to target, discussion of recruitment plans with local study teams study set-up, governance of research projects as well as carrying out screening, identification, recruitment and clinical assessments.

You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to achieve weekly targets of recruitment.  Working as part of the Flexible Workforce team you will be required to work independently across the South London network, on occasions with minimal support, be self-motivated and to organise your own diary and be proficient in MS Office and clinic-based IT systems.

This role is an ideal opportunity for someone with considerable experience of research to develop and progress within the CRN to a managerial role.
