Join us and become part of the most engaged workforce of any NHS trust in England, according to the latest national NHS Staff Survey results – for the second year running.

You will be joining a dynamic and forward-looking organisation in the heart of the capital where you can develop your career and broaden your horizons.

We think you will enjoy working for us but you don’t have to take our word for it – 79% of staff who took part in the latest national NHS Staff Survey would recommend Guy’s and St Thomas’ as a place to work.

Guys and St.Thomas ENT & Head & Neck OPD

Our department is one of the largest in the UK and is home to the South East London Head and Neck Regional Cancer Centre.

It is a fast paced and exciting place to work. We provide outpatient treatment, as well as emergency clinics for symptoms affecting the ear, nose or throat, together with a full range of audiological investigations and rehabilitation. This includes digital hearing aids, balance testing and hearing/tinnitus therapy.

You will join a friendly and supportive team of nurses and will be working alongside highly skilled doctors, clinical nurse specialists and an array of allied health care professionals.

If you are highly motivated, energetic, passionate about high quality individualised patient care and have a genuine interest in the speciality we would like to hear from you.

Your role will be to support the management and the safe coordination of the clinic. You will be expected to be highly organised and be able to demonstrate strong leadership and act as a role model to student nurses. You should have the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with patients, carers and the multi disciplinary team.

The role is suited to a staff nurse who is seeking a challenge to be involved in an area where there are varied opportunities to develop and enhance clinical nursing skills such as cannulation, phlebotomy, gastrostomy care, allergy skin prick testing and ear otoscopy, microsuctioning and the management of the unwell patient in an outpatient setting.

The applicant will be expected to be a flexible team player and will be required to work cross site (both Guys and St Thomas) that enjoys inter professional working.

This sought after post will suit someone who would prefer to work in an area where they will not be required to work unsociable hours as you will not routinely be required to work weekends, nights or bank holidays. We will consider a flexible work pattern for the successful candidate.

We will be holding a generic Band 5 assessment centre on Tuesday 3rd July 2018 whi will inclue an interview , Situation Judgement Test and ID checks.

Informal visits are strongly recommended.
