Join us and become part of the most engaged workforce of any NHS trust in England, according to the latest national NHS Staff Survey results – for the second year running.

You will be joining a dynamic and forward-looking organisation in the heart of the capital where you can develop your career and broaden your horizons.

We think you will enjoy working for us but you don’t have to take our word for it – 79% of staff who took part in the latest national NHS Staff Survey would recommend Guy’s and St Thomas’ as a place to work.

This is a rare opportunity for a qualified accountant to be the Finance lead on one of the biggest projects in London, bringing together activity from across a wide range of organisations. You will have exposure to senior decision makers across Trusts, commissioners and regulators. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is ambitious and wants exposure to a high-profile, complex project to help develop your career.

The Royal Brompton and Harefield Trust has come together with Guys and St Thomas, Kings College Hospital, and Kings College London to form a partnership with a clear vision for the future of cardiovascular and respiratory services. A dedicated programme team has been created and we need a Finance Lead who will support this complex and innovative project.

The role will have a particular focus on developing all the financial aspects of the proposition for the Partnership including input to the public consultation to be undertaken by NHS England in 2019 and a “Strategic Case”, for NHSI approval, for the significant transaction bringing the partners together into a new building.

The role is hosted by GSTT but will work as part of a multidisciplinary team across all the Partner organisations (GSTT, RBHT, KCL, KCH). You will report to the Associate Director of Finance but, for day-to-day purposes, will be located with and be a key member of the Programme Team, working under the direction of the Programme Director. You will have the support of a ‘financial modeller’ who is also part of the Programme Team. You must be an experienced CCAB accountant, confident in writing reports and able to represent the Partnership at external meetings of stakeholders and interested parties.

The nature of the approvals process for the project means that we are offering this, at present, as a one-year fixed term contract. Depending on the outcome of the public consultation this period may, by agreement with the postholder, be extended.

Closing date: 25th January 2019 at Midnight
