Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Trust is one of the largest in the UK, with an international reputation as a centre of excellence. The Hearing Implant Centre started in 1993 and is an internationally recognised centre of excellence offering both children and adults a broad range of hearing implants to manage a range of hearing loss conditions.

We are seeking a person Experience of working with either deaf children or adults would be an advantage but not essential.

The successful applicant will work closely within the multidisciplinary team. The post holder will contribute to the assessment, selection and rehabilitation of deafened adult patients and support their progress post cochlear implantation. Collaborative working is essential and active participation in the development of the service is encouraged. The team consists of six Speech and Language Therapists and the post holder will be well supported and line managed within the team.

The Trust encourages Individual Performance Development which is linked to the new Key Skills Framework process, to develop staff members’ professional and personal development. The team are committed to providing relevant training in the field of Cochlear Implantation.
