With over 70 critical care beds, we can offer an innovative, challenging and inspirational research experience providing a dynamic environment conducive to gaining additional knowledge and skill.

Intensive Care Research

We are participating in studies ranging from early phase to phase IV trials. We are involved in studies ranging from AKI, cardiac monitoring to ECMO at national and international level. Our research patients include those requiring post-operative cardiothoracic care, renal replacement therapy, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation therapy and those requiring treatment for multiple organ failure.

You will find many exciting opportunities to develop; including the Trust’s Management Course. You will be expected to screen and recruit patients into trials and provide interventions within your remit. Working closely with a dynamic multi-disciplinary research team to deliver on our portfolio of studies; liaising with trial site coordinators and attending regular research meetings.

You will have Level 1 Registration with proven significant experience post Intensive Care Course in an adult ICU. You will hold a recognised mentorship qualification.
