The Guy's & St Thomas' IT Training department are looking for an experienced instructional designer with excellent interpersonal skills, self motivation and a commitment to learn to join the TEL team. The successful candidate will create content for all stages of the ADDIE development model and also deliver traditional classroom-based training across a variety of systems.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate must have experience of:
- developing TEL content throughout the entire ADDIE development cycle
- advising stakeholders on suitable approaches
- managing their expectations
- working with common development tools used across the TEL industry
- excellent attention to detail
- creating succinct, engaging and informative narrative
- problem solving
- innovating to provide practical solutions to the project at hand
- at least two clinical applications as well as being a Microsoft Office specialist
- delivering TPMA/COLF training sessions to large groups and underpinning knowledge of the learning cycle
- delivering IT training and providing performance coaching in a variety of settings.

This post offers substantial development opportunities, both from a TEL and trainer point of view. The TEL team must respond to industry changes and work to influence the culture of training within the organisation to provide a learner-centric and engaging experience. Part of the TEL team’s responsibility encompasses the evaluation of new technologies and investigating how best it can be used to improve the learning experience.

This role will require a flexible approach as the successful applicant will be required to work both in and out of normal office hours, including weekends and bank holidays with the potential to travel across the UK and Europe. Remote working forms part of the role and applicants are required to have the necessary time and workload management skills.
