Lambeth Intermediate Care

Join our innovative and expanding team at Lambeth Intermediate Care, where our award-winning services are driven by our integrated and multi-disciplinary approach to Health and Social Care.

The Service Consists of:

  • Lambeth Enhanced Rapid Response Team (ERRT)
  • Lambeth Supported Discharge Team (SDT)
  • Lambeth Reablement Team

All teams are dedicated to providing assessment and intervention to prevent admission to hospital, or facilitate discharge home following presentation at A&E or an inpatient stay.

We are looking for a Senior Specialist (Band 7) Occupational Therapist to lead and motive our clinically-led holistic team including Occupational Therapists Physiotherapists, Nurses, Pharmacy staff, Social Workers and Medical disciplines, supported by Rehabilitation Support Workers. The team work closely together to provide the highest possible level of clinical expertise and care to its clients.

This post is an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skills and influence wider service development as part of the integrated services senior leadership team and work closely with other senior clinicians to promote excellent patient care. The post would suit an experienced Band 6 or established Band 7 Occupational Therapist keen to progress their skills in this exciting clinical area. 

You will be responsible for the line management, supervision, training and leadership of junior therapy and support staff within the team, as well as have the opportunity to lead on areas of service development and deputise for the Clinical Managers as required.

You will continue to develop your clinical skills with responsibility for the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for your own caseload. Clients seen will present with a variety of conditions including falls, post-operative rehabilitation, palliative care, orthopaedics, rheumatology, neurology and frailty. This post will allow you to develop and utilise your specialist skills in the management of complex health and social care needs.
