The Interventional Radiology (IR) department within the Clinical Imaging and Medical Physics (CLIMP) Directorate at Guy's and St Thomas' is one of the largest and most diverse in England. A team of 10 IR consultants supported by a dedicated nursing, radiographic and administrative team provide comprehensive vascular, interventional oncological, renal and paediatric clinical service. The department has a vacancy for the position of Clinical Fellow in Interventional Radiology & CT/MR Angiography for a period of 1 year.

Working across Guy's, St. Thomas' and Evelina London sites, the post holder will gain extensive training in the breadth of an exciting IR clinical service. The fellowship is ideal for doctors working towards a consultant level appointment (either in the final year of training or as a post CCT fellowship) who would like to broaden their expertise and be involved in clinical research activity within the specialty. In addition to their clinical responsibilities, the appointee will be expected to participate in ongoing research, audit and encouraged to take part in the teaching of other trainees. The exact timetable will be agreed with the Clinical Lead and will depend on the skills and desires of the successful candidate and upon the needs of the department.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
