The Interventional Radiology (IR) department within the Clinical Imaging and Medical Physics (CLIMP) Directorate at Guy's and St Thomas' is one of the largest and most diverse in England. A team of 10 IR consultants supported by a dedicated nursing, radiographic and administrative team provide comprehensive vascular, interventional oncological, renal and paediatric clinical service. The department has a vacancy for the position of Clinical Fellow in Interventional Radiology & CT/MR Angiography for a period of 1 year.

Working across Guy's, St. Thomas' and Evelina London sites, the post holder will gain extensive training in the breadth of an exciting IR clinical service. The fellowship is ideal for doctors working towards a consultant level appointment (either in the final year of training or as a post CCT fellowship) who would like to broaden their expertise and be involved in clinical research activity within the specialty. The successful candidate would be expected to take part in a 1:5 IR fellow on call rota. The Directorate supports 30 Specialist Trainees in Radiology.

In addition to their clinical responsibilities, the appointee will be expected to participate in ongoing research, audit and encouraged to take part in the teaching of other trainees. The exact timetable will be agreed with the Clinical Lead and will depend on the skills and desires of the successful candidate and upon the needs of the department.

The post does not attract a UK National Training Number. Applicants must be GMC registered and demonstrate an ethos that promotes teamwork, flexibility and commitment to the service.
