Join us and become part of the most engaged workforce of any NHS trust in England, according to the latest national NHS Staff Survey results – for the second year running.

You will be joining a dynamic and forward-looking organisation in the heart of the capital where you can develop your career and broaden your horizons.

We think you will enjoy working for us but you don’t have to take our word for it – 79% of staff who took part in the latest national NHS Staff Survey would recommend Guy’s and St Thomas’ as a place to work.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS London Procurement Partnership. We are looking for a Category Support Specialist to join our Agency & Temporary Staffing Workstream, in a demanding but very varied environment. This role will give you the opportunity to use your category management, people and communications skills to the full.

LPP is a membership organisation, founded, governed and funded by NHS organisations. LPP provides a strategic procurement service and professional procurement support. Working with our members, together we support the NHS to make the most of its purchasing power to maximise investment in patient care - helping trusts to deliver the highest quality services to patients while at the same time ensuring value for money.

LPP is hosted by, but is independent of, Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

Now, more than ever before, it is vital that every NHS penny is spent wisely to maintain, redesign and improve health care. We currently save the NHS more than £2.5m every week. By collaborating through LPP, our members have saved the NHS more than £1bn since we were formed in 2006.

The LPP Hosts and (in conjunction with our three sister hubs) manages the Collaborative Procurement Partnership (CPP) National Clinical Staffing Framework which went live in August 2016. This framework provides Temporary Staffing and permanent recruitment solutions.

Due to the changes within the internal and external temporary staffing market, we are looking to expand our workstream to enhance the support provided by LPP to the benefit of LPP members and the wider NHS community. To this end, we are looking to employ an AfC Band 7 Category Support Specialist to support the workstream in the management and maintenance of the framework.

Applicants must have previous demonstrable procurement experience,  experience of preparing tenders and have excellent administration, organisational and communication skills.

If you would like to be considered for our opportunity within our friendly and supportive team, please apply online.

Interviews will held on: 18th April 2018

Applicant requirements

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
