LPP is committed to supporting its members and associates to derive the best value from national, local and regional contracts and frameworks, as well as facilitating collaborative procurement wherever possible. LPP is hosted by, but independent of, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. The role of the Information Manager (Pharmacy), who will be based at the LPP offices in central London, is to assist the Medicines Optimisation & Pharmacy Procurement category to identify savings and better practice opportunities across a range of pharmacy projects using a variety of benchmarking solutions. As part of the role, you will be expected to provide and present reports tracking benefits realisation to LPP, CCG and NHS trust Chief Pharmacists and Senior Managers. You will lead on the development and implementation of LPP information analysis for pharmacy and prescribing in both primary and secondary care, with particular emphasis on developing and maintaining appropriate databases. Through the provision and interpretation of data, you will support trust-based staff to identify lost opportunities in prescribing. You will support the delivery of national programmes for pharmacy in London by providing the necessary data analysis to help improve the quality of prescribing, and to achieve savings and efficiencies where appropriate. You will be a graduate with significant experience in a similar role, and with a BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent. An expert in your field, you will have extensive experience of dealing with large, complex financial data sets. Advanced technical IT skills including an expert knowledge of MS Excel and Business Intelligence tools are essential to this role.
