Join us and become part of the most engaged workforce of any NHS trust in England, according to the latest national NHS Staff Survey results – for the second year running.

You will be joining a dynamic and forward-looking organisation in the heart of the capital where you can develop your career and broaden your horizons.

We think you will enjoy working for us but you don’t have to take our word for it – 79% of staff who took part in the latest national NHS Staff Survey would recommend Guy’s and St Thomas’ as a place to work.

The post holder will have responsibility for the day-to-day management and support of all aspects of a large data warehouse as well as leading the development of enhancements or improvements while ensuring data quality and information governance compliance.

The infrastructure has been developed as part of the National Institute for Health Research Health Informatics Collaborative (NIHR HIC) programme. This is a collaboration between five large NIHR Biomedical Research Centres (BRCs) to enable re-use of NHS clinical data for translational research, clinical audit and service improvement. Each centre leads and participates in a number of clinical themes. Data are being obtained from a variety of sources: electronic patient records at the different Trusts, clinical theme specific databases, registry data from national sources (such as NHS-BT), patient assessments/measurements, and routine health-care data. The information will also be linked to genetic and “omics” data from e.g. tissue typing, Genome Wide Association Studies (GWAS), gene-expression analysis and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) analysis. Our BRC leads on the renal transplantation theme and associated exemplar study.
