Are you looking for a new and exciting change in your career, or perhaps you are looking to build upon your existing neuro rehab experience.  If so, we would love to offer you the opportunity to come and work as a B7 Occupational Therapist in our highly respected, specialist, Neuro-rehabilitation Enhanced Transition Team (NETT).

NETT is proud of our good reputation and the feedback that we receive from our patients and their families.  NETT have been runners up for the LAMMY awards for ‘Team of the year’ and our innovative service has also been nominated for a HSJ award.

NETT is a community neuro rehab team for adults with a neurological condition that live in Lambeth and Southwark.  Our multi-disciplinary team consists of a Rehabilitation Consultant, a Clinical Manager, a Clinical Psychologist and Psychology Assistant, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, a Speech and Language Therapist, Social Workers and Rehabilitation Assistants.  Our small knit team work closely together to provide a high quality, client-centred, goal focussed, efficient, responsive and intensive service for our patients.

NETT is part of a much wider community neuro rehabilitation service that includes four other teams, the stroke service, the neuro conditions team, the 2B neuro therapy beds service at the Pulross Center and a Neuro Navigator service.

As part of our NETT Service, you will be expected to contribute to multidisciplinary service development and improvement initiatives and will also be expected to supervise and support junior staff, and train others.

This position would suit individuals keen to enhance their specialism in the rehabilitation of neurological conditions whilst developing strategic planning and managerial skills. As a B7 Occupational Therapist you will have significant postgraduate experience working with adults with neurological conditions, with some experience working in neuro rehabilitation.

Our staff are well-supported through supervision, the appraisal process and our programme of in-service training in addition to the benefits of belonging to Guys and St Thomas’ Foundation Trust and Kings Health Partners, an Academic Healthcare Centre.

NETT and our neuro rehabilitation service, continually strive to improve service delivery and contributions from all staff are highly valued.

Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
