An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced band 5 or 6 nurse to join the senior Nursing team on Esther Ward. If you are highly motivated and looking to develop your band 6 clinical leadership skills within a supportive and innovative environment we would like to hear from you.

The successful candidate would be expected to work in partnership with the other Deputy Sisters and to support the Ward Sister and the Matrons. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly renowned and innovative multi-disciplinary team at one of the UK's leading teaching Hospitals in the heart of London.

Esther is a 19 bedded ward comprising of 3 bays and 4 side rooms. Esther ward is an excellent place to develop your surgical oncology, medical oncology and short stay surgical (ENT and head neck) skills.

As deputy sister on Esther ward there is the expectation that you role model the trusts behaviours, are positive through times of change and liaise regularly with members of your team, supporting their development in the absence of a PDN.

As deputy sister you will be taught how to manage the ward in the absence of the ward sister, be involved in decision making for the ward and also help action and cement new trust inactivates within the team.

The ward encompasses the trusts objectives and standards of care. Esther ward staff are very passionate at maintaining these standards and are always looking at ways to better patient experience. Esther ward has excellent patient feedback and the nurses are very proud of the care that is delivered.

We are looking for a caring and compassionate nurse who is highly motivated and enthusiastic to join the team in providing the highest standards of individualised patient care. You will be supported by the Ward Sister, Clinical nurse specialists and the in-patient Matron team.
