SENIOR HIP CLINICAL FELLOW IN ORTHOPAEDICS

The Orthopaedic Surgery Department at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust seeks applications for 1 Hip Fellow post commencing May/June 2018. You will join a team of 19 Registrar/Clinical Fellow grade trainees and 12 Senior House Officers/Trust Doctors. You will be expected to provide an orthopaedic and trauma service in conjunction with colleagues. You will be working on the Hip Unit at Guy’s Hospital for Mr Bankes, Mr George, Mr Malhi, Mr Shah and Mr Davidson covering primary and revision arthroplasty as well as hip preservation surgery. This post is suitable for a post CCT surgeon wishing to expand their complex primary and revision hip replacement experience as well as gain exposure to young adult hip surgery. The candidates will be expected to participate in clinical and other service activities with the object of ensuring a high standard of patient care. You will also be expected to take an active part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training and contribute to the management of the clinical service and service development.
