Start Date - Feb/March 2019 and beyond

Applications are invited for a six months post as Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The post will be based at The Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Guy and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust (Lead Centre: South Thames). 

The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit has 20 beds and admits 1,200 general and cardiac patients each year. The South Thames Retrieval Service operates from within the PICU and receives over 1,750 requests each year and retrieves about 950 of these patients.


The unit is accredited to undertake both Year 1 and Year 2 PICM training. Candidates, who have completed their training, in their parent specialty, may wish to seek employment for 6 months. 

You must be registered with the General Medical Council. Minimum educational qualifications for entry are MRCP, FRCA or equivalent. You must also have completed a significant period of time in your chosen primary specialty and have preferably had some experience in Cardiac and/or Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine.

As an organisation we are committed to developing our services in ways that best suit the needs of our patients. This means that some staff groups will increasingly be asked to work a more flexible shift pattern so that we can offer services in the evenings or at weekends.
