Children's Community Staff Nurse

Evelina London Children’s Hospital cares for children and young people from across South London and South east England. We offer a unique range of services from antenatal diagnosis through to childhood, into adolescence and on into adult life.

Children’s services at Evelina London are mainly located in our state-of-the-art building at St Thomas’ Hospital, but we also provide care to young patients in the community in Lambeth and Southwark.

Evelina London is at the heart of a network of children’s health services in Lambeth and Southwark and across south east England. We provide a comprehensive range of children’s health services, so that we are able to look after patients from antenatal diagnosis through childhood, into adolescence and on into adult services.

We are the only hospital in London to have highly specialised women’s and children’s services on one site. This means that our youngest patients can get the specialist care they need on the same hospital site as their mothers.
We are proud to be the first Children's Hospital to be awarded an 'Outstanding' rating by the Care Quality Commission.

We are excited to announce that Evelina London has been hosting the Children's Community Nursing Team in Lambeth and Southwark from April 1st 2017 and have successfully merged with the existing Children's hospital at home teams based at the Evelina and Kings College Hospitals.

This provides a comprehensive Childern's Community Nursing team which allows for the rapid response in faciliatating the discharge of CYP from the wards and admisiion avoidance for those attending ED. The service covers any CYP requiring nursing intervention with acuite/short-term conditions through to complex needs and palliative care.

Do you want to be part of shaping a new service to share our vision and are passionate about enabling children to be cared for at home, then we would love to hear from you.

We are looking to recruit experienced paediatric nurses to join our new team. Previous community experience not required.

The service will runs 7 days a week 8am to 6pm.

We can offer you opportunities for training and development within a friendly and supportive Team.

Car driver essential. Pool cars can be provided on request.

Applicants must be highly motivated with excellent communication skills that enjoy working in an energetic, challenging and at times demanding environment.

Come and be part of the team and help us lead the way in providing high quality care to the children and families in our local community of Lambeth and Southwark.

If you believe you have the skills, enthusiasm and ambition to join our team we would welcome your application.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
