The Departments of Ageing and Health and Pharmacy are seeking an enthusiastic forward thinking pharmacist to lead pharmaceutical input in the Department of Ageing and Health. The role will involve leading a team of pharmacists working predominantly on our three older persons wards at St Thomas’ Hospital. Designing a new more integrated service with medical colleagues around consultant ward rounds and prescribing. Developing pharmacy support and governance to other areas of Ageing and health practice such as the Older Persons Assessment Unit at Guys Hospital. Participating in clinical governance, quality improvement programmes, research and education throughout Ageing and Health and the Acute Medicine pathways the department is part of.
