An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Governance Facilitator to work within the pharmacy team at Guys and Thomas’ Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will play a key role in supporting a range of activities that reviews and reports on clinical quality, patient safety, standards and effectiveness throughout the department and wider organisation. You will be expected to support the department in delivering robust medicines governance, safety and a great patient experience. You will work with experienced clinical colleagues to deliver national and local clinical audits, service evaluations, implementation of NICE guidance and patient experience surveys. You will also be involved in work ensuring implementation of some of our corporate policies.

You have the opportunity to build lasting and trusted relationships with specialists and have the benefit from expertise already existing in the department. There is also scope for some teaching in some key areas in support of local clinical governance arrangements.

Applicants must hold a first degree or equivalent, with at least 5 years’ clinical experience working in a healthcare / quality improvement setting. Excellent communication, analytical and leadership skills are essential. Applicants must be able to work under pressure to deliver a diverse workload.
