Join us and become part of the most engaged workforce of any NHS trust in England, according to the latest national NHS Staff Survey results – for the second year running.

You will be joining a dynamic and forward-looking organisation in the heart of the capital where you can develop your career and broaden your horizons.

We think you will enjoy working for us but you don’t have to take our word for it – 79% of staff who took part in the latest national NHS Staff Survey would recommend Guy’s and St Thomas’ as a place to work.

The diabetes, endocrine and cardiovascular services at our foundation trust are one of the largest and most comprehensive in the UK. As a key member of the cardiovascular pharmacy team, you will support the delivery of clinical services to diabetes, endocrine and cardiovascular patients.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the ongoing service expansion and the departments ongoing commitment to support flexible working arrangements. We are looking for an experienced and committed clinical pharmacist to deliver clinical pharmacy services to our directorates. Essentially you should be able to demonstrate the ability to appropriately recommend, substantiate and communicate therapeutic options for patients with diabetes, endocrine and cardiovascular conditions. You should also have experience in delivering specialist pharmacist led clinics and clinical commissioning of high cost medicines.

You will work in a structured environment providing support to the wider team to meet key directorates targets. This will include delivering a clinical pharmacy service to a range of patients with complex diabetes, endocrine and cardiovascular conditions, supporting and training junior pharmacists, whilst also maintaining and developing the services further both within the primary and secondary care settings. The pharmacy service is fully integrated with local services and research and education via Kings College, London.

Closing Date: 23 October 2018 at Midnight

Interviews are scheduled to be held on week commencing Mon 12th Nov 2018

Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
