We have a vacancy for an experienced Pharmacy Assistant who would like to move into a new role working as part of the pharmacy team at ward level to ensure safe and effective use of medicines by our inpatients.

We are looking for a Senior Pharmacy Assistant who is skilled in the use of Omnicell, JAC pharmacy, and inventory management or would like to enhance their training in these areas and who is an excellent communicator with patients and a good team player.

Key performances areas are:

Ensuring medicines are available for all patients
Assessing patients own medicines
Inventory management and reduction in stock holding and expired medicines at ward level
Counselling patients after accreditation
Providing information for patients about their medicines
Communication with the pharmacy and ward team
Disposal of unwanted and expired medicines
