Join us and become part of the most engaged workforce of any NHS trust in England, according to the latest national NHS Staff Survey results – for the second year running.

You will be joining a dynamic and forward-looking organisation in the heart of the capital where you can develop your career and broaden your horizons.

We think you will enjoy working for us but you don’t have to take our word for it – 79% of staff who took part in the latest national NHS Staff Survey would recommend Guy’s and St Thomas’ as a place to work.

Do you have experience in the management of children and young people with spinal problems including spinal deformity and back pain?

This is a new post for a clinical specialist physiotherapist to work alongside the paediatric spinal surgeons at the Evelina London Children's Hospital.

You must have extensive experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and knowledge of the management of spinal deformity including bracing and surgery. You will be expected to assess new and follow up patients triaged to physiotherapy clinics. You will need to be able to work independently, have excellent communication skills and desire to improve patient care. Previous experience of clinical leadership, audit and research would be expected.

The post holder would also provide clinical support and training to other members of the paediatric physiotherapy team and other members of the MDT both within and outside the organisation. They would also need to develop links with related specialties within the hospital with a long term goal to streamline the referral pathway for children with back pain.

The working pattern will be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, but there will be some flexibility about the other day.

Closing Date: 16 November 2018 at midnight

Interview Date: Inerviews will be held in December 2018

Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
