We are now recruiting for a Category Manager for the Technology & Consultancy workstream.

Reporting to the Senior Workstream Lead, this key position will be responsible for managing a range of categories and will support the Senior Workstream Lead and Senior Consultant and Category Lead in developing and implementing category strategies and procurement solutions.

The post holder will participate in the development and execution of the workstream strategy and its delivery across the NHS London Procurement Partnership, its member organisations and their corresponding networks.

This will involve working with other purchasing organisations, such as Crown Commercial Service, who may have solutions available for use within the NHS.

You will support on the provision of strategic procurement advice for your given category and contribute to the development, management and delivery of the cost improvement programmes for a number of NHS trusts.

Your focus will be to obtain buy-in from existing and new stakeholders for current and innovative category initiatives in order to increase opportunities for collaboration across LPP's membership.

The successful applicants will have experience of procurement, preferably in the NHS, together with a knowledge and understanding of supply chain processes, practices and innovation. Knowledge of IT systems - clinical, non-clinical, networks and telecom.

We will expect the successful applicants to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering against targets. You will have an understanding of the public sector procurement guidelines, legislation and contract law relating to procurement.

You will possess excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills and be able to deliver on objectives.
