Join us and become part of the most engaged workforce of any NHS trust in England, according to the latest national NHS Staff Survey results – for the second year running.

You will be joining a dynamic and forward-looking organisation in the heart of the capital where you can develop your career and broaden your horizons.

We think you will enjoy working for us but you don’t have to take our word for it – 79% of staff who took part in the latest national NHS Staff Survey would recommend Guy’s and St Thomas’ as a place to work.

An exciting opportunity has arisen with NHS London Procurement Partnership (LPP) to lead our award winning Estates, Facilities & Professional Services Workstream. We are looking for a self-motivated, entrepreneurial leader who can build on the success of our fast growing and well respected Workstream.

LPP is a membership organisation, founded, governed and funded by NHS organisations. Working with our members, together we support the NHS to make the most of its purchasing power to maximise investment in patient care - helping trusts to deliver the highest quality services to patients while at the same time ensuring value for money.

Now, more than ever before, it is vital that every NHS penny is spent wisely to maintain, redesign and improve health care. We currently save the NHS more than £2.5m every week. By collaborating through LPP, our members have saved the NHS more than £1.2bn since we were formed in 2006.

Our team encourages collaboration among acute, mental health, community and primary care organisations. We are committed to helping members achieve their objectives and enabling innovation, increased efficiency, improved patient outcomes and reduced clinical risk.

LPP is hosted by, but is independent of, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will manage a growing team supporting our members in managing around £1.6BN of EF&S spend annually. You will be seen as a trusted advisor to LPP and our members and develop category management strategies which meet their needs.

Applicants must have experience and category knowledge of estates, facilities and professional services and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of advising on category management strategies in these areas as well as delivering quality and financial improvements for our members. You will have a thorough understanding of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and be able to provide guidance on all forms of terms and conditions relating to the NHS and Estates.

The Workstream currently have a thorough coverage of frameworks open to LPP members and the wider public sector, which can be viewed on our website.

If you would like to be considered for our opportunity within our expanding friendly and supportive team, please apply online.

Applicant requirements

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
