Reporting Radiographer   Band 7      (Full Time / Part Time / Flexible Working)

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and enthusiastic person to join our team of Reporting Radiographers at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. As one of the most successful and highly regarded teaching hospitals in the NHS we are able to provide enviable opportunities for you to develop your career. We offer exposure to a fantastic combination of routine, varied and often highly specialised experiences.

We have an impressive array of high tech equipment, however, our greatest asset is our highly skilled, patient focused and friendly team. Our ethos is about mutual support and shared achievement, developing our staff and services to provide exemplary levels of care to our patients. Our sites are located in stunning central London locations giving you every opportunity for both social and professional rewards.

We have recently completed a large scale refurbishment in size and configuration of our reporting environments and upgraded our PACS system. In addition we are currently undertaking large scale projects across all three sites which will see the addition of new CT & MRI scanners, an impressive combined MRI and bi-plane imaging suite in Evelina London and an Emergency Services re-design.

As a member of the reporting radiographer team you would undertake dedicated reporting sessions, work to develop initiatives and assist in the delivery of reporting services across the Emergency Department, Guy’s, St Thomas’, the Evelina London Children’s Hospital and Guy’s Cancer Centre.

You would provide consultancy to other practitioners and clinicians and encompass mentorship, training and education and both leading and participating in audit and research.

You would work alongside the current team in the organisation and continuing development of the radiographer reporting service.

We invite applications from high achievers and ambitious Band 7 Radiographers who are able to deliver exceptional care and service within our team, applicants wishing to expand their horizons and develop in an exciting and challenging role supporting the expansion of our radiographer reporting service.

The successful applicant will be experienced in appendicular and/or axial reporting, as part of the multi-disciplinary team and will have the opportunity to maintain their clinical skills.

Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
