Due to the expansion of the South London Clinical Research Network Research Portfolio, we are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join the Flexible Delivery Staff in Division 1 (Cancer) as a Clinical Trial Research Nurse/Practitioner. The post holder must have a professional approach to work and demonstrate an interest in delivering a high level of administration for the wider research team across sites in the South London network.

Key duties include data management, Investigator Site File maintenance, trial portfolio spreadsheet maintenance, requesting histology samples, and working collaboratively with the clinical trials team and the wider multidisciplinary team in the management of research patients.

The post holder will be expected show initiative and work well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential and the role requires the ability to work both independently and with others to inspire trust and confidence. The post-holder will work flexibly across the South London network.

They will help ensure that any research undertaken within the Network safeguards the well-being of the patients and is conducted according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trial) Regulations 2004, and Amended Regulations 2006.

In conjunction with the other members of the team, they will facilitate the increase in recruitment into the CRN: South London Division 1 portfolio and promote the production of good quality research across the network.

Although the post holder will work primarily within Division 1, The post holder will be required to work flexible across sites within the CRN: South London geography. This role will be matrix managed. The post-holder will be based at Guy’s Hospital with frequent travel across the region.
