Band 7

Our SPT’s Provide clinical leadership and management to the School Nursing team and are responsible and accountable for the care delivered to the School age children on their caseloads ensuring the provision of a high standard of nursing care to young people and their families in the community.

They also have a clinical caseload and provide expert care to patients in Lambeth and Southwark. Provide support to staff in the locality who are teaching, assessing and mentoring others.

Be responsible for the application of theory to practice for SCPHN students giving mentorship support to your students on placement throughout the year.

To demonstrate clinical expertise and act as a resource to facilitate the development of the profession and the service meeting the health needs of the defined population inline with the Healthy Child Programme 0-19 years.

Support aspects of performance within the School nursing team to achieve the service KPIs effectively role modelling high standards of care, conduct and behaviour

Provide first line management of line managed staff  including sickness and absence management and dealing with performance and capability issues. Undertake regular appraisal and performance review and develop a personal development plan for your line managed staff member.
