The Transforming Cancer Services Team (TCST) for London is looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to lead on workforce and education in primary and community care.

You will:

• Provide leadership to delivery of this work stream, working with TCST workstreams, Strategic Transformation Partnerships (STPs), Cancer Alliances, charity partners and a wider stakeholder landscape.

The TCST supports delivery of the Five Year Forward View and National Cancer Strategy across London. We work with commissioners, providers, charity partners and other stakeholders to support delivery of cancer waiting targets, earlier diagnosis of cancer, those who are living with and beyond cancer and to increase the pace of improvement. The team provides strategic leadership for cancer across London as well as supporting STPs and CCGs to provide expert advice on local operational issues.

Our Mission
As a trusted and expert partner, we drive delivery of world class cancer outcomes through collaboration, commissioning support, clinical leadership, education and engagement
“Although this role will initially support the Cancer Partnership programme of work, HLP is working towards a new operating model which will support a cross-project, matrix working approach. Applicant requirements

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
