Healthy London Partnership (HLP) is looking for motivated and highly skilled staff to work with London for London across a range of projects to transform health and care.

HLP brings together the NHS in London and our partners to deliver better health and care for all Londoners.

Our partners include the Mayor of London, Greater London Authority, Public Health England, London Councils and Health Education England. We are looking to recruit a motivated and highly skilled member of staff to join the Urgent and Emergency Care team as a Head of Improvement.   This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team which will be central to the overall Urgent and Emergency Care Improvement programme to drive improvements in urgent and emergency care for Londoners. The aim of this programme is to help people to stay out of hospital (whether acute or mental health) even when they have unplanned health or care needs, and to ensure that they can go home, or to wherever they are best supported, as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Working with all services in the urgent and emergency care pathway, including local hospital trusts, local government, community providers, nursing homes and others you will initiate, coordinate and lead the team’s improvement activities, with a focus on reducing length of stay and other relevant national and regional targets. You will already have many years’ experience of working on complex programmes of change, including working in either health, social care or with community providers.  You will have worked in roles where you led the implementation of improvement methodologies and have a track record of delivery to achieve the required change.  In a senior role, you will work collaboratively within Healthy London Partnership to identify interdependencies across the portfolio of programmes and engage extensively with external key stakeholders including senior clinicians, senior managers in CCGs, senior leaders in Local Authorities, STPs, NHS England (London), NHS Improvement (London) and the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (London). A strong track record in helping trusts to improve their performance as well as experience of working with and influencing at both the strategic and operational level in the health and care environment is required.

The post holder will be based at both Ferguson House and Skipton House in London and will be expected to travel across London for various meetings and project activities.

Interview will be held week commencing 29th October.
