Join us and become part of the most engaged workforce of any NHS trust in England, according to the latest national NHS Staff Survey results – for the second year running.

You will be joining a dynamic and forward-looking organisation in the heart of the capital where you can develop your career and broaden your horizons.

We think you will enjoy working for us but you don’t have to take our word for it – 79% of staff who took part in the latest national NHS Staff Survey would recommend Guy’s and St Thomas’ as a place to work.

We are delighted to be recruiting to a Lead Paediatric Clinical Psychologist for Rare Bone services within Paediatric Endocrinology at Evelina London Children’s Hospital. We are looking for a dynamic and highly skilled psychologist, who is passionate in working closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team and with children, young people and families to improve the quality of care and quality of life for children and families.

This is a new substantive, part time post (0.5wte, band 8b) and the post holder will take a key role in setting up, developing and delivering the highest quality of clinical psychology provision to the Rare Bone Diseases Service. This service supports families of children with conditions such as Achondroplasia and Skeletal Dysplasias, serving a local, regional and national population. It is the Lead service for the UK, and has a key role in research, service provision and developing national guidelines and policies for care.

This is an extremely exciting time to be joining the Rare Bone service, which is expanding all members of its health care team (medical, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and paediatric psychology). The post holder will be a senior member of the team, leading therapy led care programmes, and will also take a leadership role for junior clinical psychology posts within the wider Paediatric Endocrine service including medical endocrinology and diabetes, as well as a strategic development role for psychology services within Evelina London.

The Paediatric Psychology Service at Evelina London is highly valued by the healthcare teams and continues to be supported in developing new posts to support families under our care. Our high quality services are provided to children, young people and families, and to carers including healthcare staff.

UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
