STEP - Structured Training and Experience for Pharmacists - Foundation Programme

* Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust
* King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
* Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust

Applications are now welcome from Monday 8th January for our pre-registration pharmacists for the Kings Health Partners STEP Programme commencing Mid-August 2018.

For further details, enquiries and an online application form please visit the website:-

Please see the STEP-FP website for detailed information regarding the completion of the application form. Short-listing criteria will be applied primarily to the 'supporting statement'. Information regarding your roles and responsibilities in the employment history is therefore not required to be filled in. Please write 'see supporting statement' to avoid duplicating information, as this section will not be reviewed. For those applicants who are invited to interview, the supporting statement will count towards their overall 'mark' hence to the final selection of successful candidates.

As part of your application we ask that you list your base hospital choices, for your 18 months of core clinical, in order of preference. We recommend that you research this carefully. STEP Pharmacists at GSTT and L&G follow 7 day working patterns; therefore their 37.5 hours are worked over 7 days per week according to rotas with time off scheduled the following week. Also, GSTT provides a residency on-call service that involves a shift working system staying overnight on a rota.

This is regional programme and all STEP Pharmacists are expected to work at any of our Hospitals during the course of the programme if required. Therefore, if you are unable or do not wish to travel to a particular hospital please do not apply.

Closing Date: Monday 22nd January 2018

Interviews will be held on Monday 12th March 2018 at The Owen Conference Centre University Hospital Lewisham, Lewisham High Street, London SE13 6LH (closest train station; Ladywell). Please note that we cannot offer any alternative interview dates.
