The place to work in pathology

We are looking for top talent to join the UK’s leading and fastest growing pathology company – a scientific organisation with a clinical purpose.

Working in partnership with our service partners, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, King’s College Hospital, Bedford NHS Hospital Trusts, and Princess Royal University Hospital we aim to set the standard for the future of pathology.

The successful post holder will supervise the Blood Transfusion section of the Blood Sciences Laboratories at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals and be responsible for daily running of the blood bank workload and staffing. Responsible for maintaining sufficient stocks of blood components and products as well as reagents. Will be directly involved in all quality aspects related to maintaining both BSQR and ISO15189 accreditation including validation, change control, batch validation, and CAPA.

The post holder will be an integral member of the Hospital Transfusion Team and Committee and be required to contribute to both laboratory and clinical protocols. As well as having a central role to maintain quality standards there will be a large commitment for training of all staff levels including trainee and BMS staff undertaking specialist portfolio.

There is no requirement to be part of the full out of hours shift system although ad hoc cover may be required should the service require it. This represents an excellent opportunity to gain senior experience in a blood transfusion laboratory setting where an understanding of Blood Safety Quality Regulations BSQR and ISO 15189 will be crucial.

Interviews will be held on December 6, 2018.
