The place to work in pathology

We are looking for top talent to join the UK’s leading and fastest growing pathology company – a scientific organisation with a clinical purpose.

Working in partnership with our service partners, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, King’s College Hospital, Bedford NHS Hospital Trusts, and Princess Royal University Hospital we aim to set the standard for the future of pathology.

Pathology, the study of diseases, the bridge between science and medicine.

High impact work, supporting over 70% of all patient diagnosis, important work.

How rewarding would it be to apply your existing supervisory or management skills to such a valuable service?

No healthcare experience or worried that you’re not a scientist?

Don’t be, no healthcare experience needed, just solid demonstrable management skills.

The gateway to this service is the Central Specimen Reception (CSR), where all samples for Blood and Infection Sciences start their journey. You will be there to ensure your established, friendly and well organised team follow the correct pre-analytical processing procedures, which ensure the samples reach the right place at the right time, so our scientists can get the results back to their respective clinicians.

You will be managing a team of 35 direct reports, who are non-scientific administrators; perhaps you have come from an administrative background yourself, or have been supervising reception staff? Perhaps you have been working in a call centre or customer service background?

Perhaps you can see yourself making an impact and putting something back into the community?

The service is open 24/7, however you will be on hand between the hours of 0800 to 2000 for 37.5 hours a week, but mainly working 0900 to 1700 and on a 1 in 6 Saturday 0900 to 1400 shift.

If you’re interested in knowing more, and feel that you can transfer your skills to make a high impact contribution, please apply.

Interviews will be held on February 12, 2019
