We are looking for a HCPC registered biomedical scientist (band 5 equivalent) to join the only Toxicology Unit at Viapath Analytics.

The Toxicology Unit encompasses three specialist laboratories providing tests for use in monitoring the diagnosis & treatment of substance misuse; therapeutic drug monitoring, trace element and toxic metal analysis; ascertaining deficiencies, diagnosing toxicity and certain inherited diseases.

Analyses in all areas is primarily via state of the art Mass Spectrometry.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be involved in not only the provision of specialist tests, but also to get involved in developmental work.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
